Mixed age group to promote responsibilities, independence, social-emotional, security, and motivations.

Parents will get updates and photos of their child throughout the day on Brightwheel Application.

Licensed family daycare through the State of California.

Covid-19 FAQ

Please rest assure that the children and staff health and safety are utmost important.

Parents will check their child in and out on Brightwheel using contactless check in.

Sleeping cot will be disinfected everyday after use and children will be 6ft distance apart during nap.

We are following rigorous cleaning procedures recommended by the CDC.

Daily health check for both teachers and children will be conducted.

Nhan Mew

Hello, I am Nhan. I will be your child's teacher and caregiver at North Star. I previously went to college at Sacramento State University and studied in Biological Science and Psychology. Later, I went to Skyline Community College to pursuit my passion in Early Childcare Education. I'd always like working and being around children. I started when I was young. I cared for my sibling and cousins. Then I became an assist leader in a San Francisco summer camp for 3 years. Later, I took on an opportunity to become a nanny and a teacher for young children. Being in the field for more than 10 years, I am now a mother of two girls and reaching my dreams of having my own program. To me, there's nothing more fulfilling than working with these young curious explores.

Philosophy

Skies the limit is what we believe in at North Star. Providing quality care and guidance are predominant, we hope to help foster every child's aspect of developments and create the foundation for the child's future. We will support the children need and provide tools as they grow at their own pace. At North Star our curriculum is guided by the teachers but are open ended to promote creativity and better fitted for each individual. Active learning and independence are encouraged during their learning process. The children limits are the ones "we" as parents and teachers set for them, the skies have no limit. Thus, in partnership let's guide them to where their limits can go.

Enrollment

• Please complete the questionnaire and the Director will contact you regarding enrollment process and schedule a tour.
• There is a non-refundable $100 Registration fee due with the application and $50 annual registration fee.
• North Star Preschool & Childcare have a 5% sibling discount, 10% single parent discount, and 5% referral discount for the first 3 months.
• Potty training and 1 meal plus two snacks are included with tuition.
• Tuitions:
• Full time : Infant- 24 months $2350/month
• Full time : 24 months- 5-years-old $1950/month
• Part time (3 full days or 5 half days): Infant- 24 months $2181/month
• Part time (3 full days or 5 half days): 24 months- 5-years-old $1781/month
